FAQ
Common questions about LoudPipes LifeTag Packs, rider safety, QR + NFC, profile setup, emergency contacts, and account support.
What is LoudPipes LifeTag?
LifeTag is a rider safety product that helps trusted helpers and emergency responders reach key emergency contacts and profile details from a helmet, bike, or riding gear using QR, NFC, or both.
Where can I place a LifeTag?
LifeTag Packs are designed for practical rider use-cases such as helmets, bikes, and riding gear. Choose the surface that is easiest to find and access in a real emergency.
Do I need both QR and NFC?
No. QR works by scan and NFC works by tap. Using both gives better real-world coverage because different phones and situations behave differently.
What information can a responder or helper see?
That depends on what you choose to store in your profile. Typical examples include emergency contacts, important medical notes, and other critical rider information you want available fast.
Do I need a portal account?
Yes. The portal is where you manage your LifeTag details, keep your information current, and handle account-related changes over time.
Can I update my details later?
Yes. The point of the portal is that your stored details can be updated without needing to replace everything every time your information changes.
Can I buy LifeTag for someone else or for a group?
Yes. Contact us if you need help with a family setup, a company rollout, or a larger rider group so we can guide the best next step.
What if I need help with setup, activation, or login?
Use the Contact page for support with orders, account access, profile setup, and general LifeTag questions. Existing users can also use Portal Login to manage their account.
Is LoudPipes LifeTag an emergency response service?
No. LifeTag helps make your chosen information easier to access, but it does not replace medical care, emergency services, or first-responder judgment.
Is LoudPipes built for South Africa?
Yes. LoudPipes is operated for South African use-cases, support needs, and local customer communication.
